Valentine's Day

Hoot Hoot! Bob Here! Today’s post is dedicated to the loveliest of holidays and the time in which the price of flowers skyrocket, Valentine’s Day.
Yes, for fun fact number one is not who the Holiday was named after, but rather a small bit of knowledge of when not to buy roses for your beloved if you’re on a budget; for during the build up to Valentine’s Day the price tends to increase between 30%-37% depending on the year. The second fun fact is that Valentine’s Day is named after 2 different Christian Martyrs of the same name, with their only difference being where they lived with Valentine of Rome and Valentine of Terni; which are funnily enough closer than one may think when seeing two famous people from differently named cities. Final fun fact of the day is that, while a confirmed martyr, the Catholic Church does not hold February 14th as his feast day; those that hold that honor are Saints Cyril and Methodius. This reasoning is tied to the fact that both the Valentine’s that could be used for the holiday have very little on their history and exploits outside of being Martyrs, and thus Saints Cyril and Methodius got the official feast day while the rest of the world celebrates the holiday as normal.
That is all I have for today folks! Bob out!
